What to do if a business offers you work outside of the Sidekicker platform

How exciting! You must have made a really great impression with the business if they want to offer you more work.

What do I do if a business offers me a shift outside of Sidekicker?

It is important that any shifts you work for a business are posted in your Sidekicker app before you attend the shift. This is so that we can ensure that you are:

  • paid correctly and on time for the work you complete

  • covered by insurance for the shift duration

  • guaranteed the work rights you are entitled to

If you have been offered a shift by a business but the shift has not been assigned to you on Sidekicker, be sure to remind the business to complete this step. Alternatively, please get in touch with our team via the blue chat bubble so we can rectify this.

Please also note that completing a shift for a business arranged outside of the Sidekicker platform is against our Sidekicker Performance Policy, and can therefore result in you losing access to the Sidekicker platform.

What do I do if a business has offered me a permanent role?

Congratulations! You have clearly been working very hard and have made a great impression on a business, and now they would like to hire you to be a part of their team 🎉

It is very important that you let us know when this occurs, so please contact us on the blue chat bubble on the app or via the website.

Can I still use my Sidekicker account to work with other clients?

Your Sidekick profile will stay exactly the same, however, we will move you to a Private Sidekick so you do not receive notifications for Sidekick jobs.

However, if you’re keen to work Sidekicker shifts in your spare time, simply reply to this email and let us know so we withhold moving you to a Private Sidekick. There may be some updates you need to make to your tax details.
