Sidekicker policies

Sidekicks are responsible for following our policies at all times. These are set up to outline our expectations for Sidekicks and clients, to ensure safety, compliance and a great experience for all. Any breach of our policies could result in a Sidekick losing access to jobs through our platform.

A full list of our policies can be found through the links below.

Shift attendance

Whilst Sidekicker offers flexibility around choosing which shifts you apply for, we expect you to be available to work those shifts once you are selected.

We understand circumstances can change which may fall outside of your control, but withdrawing from shifts can create a negative experience for the businesses who select you and any Sidekicks who miss out on the opportunity to work. Therefore, we take all withdrawals seriously, and if a Sidekick is regularly withdrawing, notifying us too late (less than two hours from the shift start time), or failing to notify us at all, they could lose access to jobs on the platform.

If a withdrawal is unavoidable, we ask that you please follow the steps outlined here and provide us with as much notice as possible!

Expectations on shift

When you agree to work a Sidekicker shift, please ensure that you;

Working on a Student Visa

If you are working on a Student Visa, you are responsible for ensuring you do not exceed your visa limitations - this means not exceeding 20 hours per week (in New Zealand) and 48 hours per fortnight (in Australia). Some exceptions apply and differ across Australia and New Zealand.
