How do I navigate my jobs dashboard?

Your Sidekicker jobs dashboard explained

Updated over a week ago

This article covers everything you need to know about navigating your jobs dashboard, including information on the different job statuses (i.e. Open, Applied, Active etc.) and how to 'Sort' and 'Filter' jobs on Sidekicker.

Job statuses

Job statuses appear as sections within the Sidekicker app, allowing you to easily identify jobs that;

  • are currently available for you to apply for (i.e "Open")

  • you have saved (i.e. "Saved")

  • you have applied for (i.e. "Applied")

  • you have been hired on (i.e. "Active")

  • you have submitted a timesheet for (i.e. "Awaiting Review")

  • you have completed (i.e. "Completed")

  • you have passed on (i.e. "Passed")

Open

The "Open" section of your jobs dashboard displays all available jobs. If a job appears here, it means the position has not yet been filled and the business is still accepting applications.

The number of factors will determine which jobs appear on your "Open" jobs dashboard, such as your job preferences, approved work categories and even the certificates you have uploaded to your Sidekicker profile (e.g. a Police Check).

If there are no jobs visible on your "Open" jobs dashboard, check out this article.

Saved

If you want to save a job and apply later, you can use the bookmark icon below to add it to your Saved section. Don't leave a job in there too long, though! The job may already fill with other applicants or expire!

Applied

After you submit an application for a job it will move from the "Open" section to the "Applied" section of your dashboard. Your application will remain in the "Applied" section until the business has reviewed and responded to your application.

If your application is successful, the job will move to the  "Active" section. However, if your application is unsuccessful, the job will disappear from your dashboard altogether.

Note you will always be notified of your application outcome via email.

Active

When you are hired on a job it will move to the "Active" section of your dashboard - congratulations! For more information on what to do once you have been selected for a shift, see here.

Awaiting Review

After you work a job, you will need to submit your timesheet as soon as possible. Once submitted, the job will move to the "Awaiting Review" section and will remain here until the business has reviewed and approved your timesheet.

Timesheets are usually approved within 1-2 days but sometimes this process can take a little longer. Rest assured you will be paid in our weekly pay run regardless of whether the job is in the "Awaiting Review" or "Completed" section of your dashboard.

Completed

Once a business has approved your hours on Sidekicker, the job will move to the "Completed" section of your dashboard. You can navigate to this section to view your full history of completed jobs, along with the estimated earnings and star ratings you have received from businesses.

Passed

When you click on a job in the "Open" section of your dashboard you will see two buttons; "Apply" and "Pass". If you click on "Pass", the job will move to the "Passed" section, allowing you to filter out any jobs from your dashboard that you are not interested in.
Note: If you accidentally passed on a job, you can still view and apply for it from your 'passed' section!

Filtering and sorting jobs

Filtering jobs

In addition to passing on jobs, you can also filter jobs by category. To see all jobs in your approved categories, make sure you clear any filters you have previously applied.

Tip: You can also update your location settings to only see jobs within a set radius.

Sorting jobs

You can choose to sort your jobs by:

  • Posted date (i.e. newest jobs first)

  • Hourly rate (i.e. highest rate first)

  • Company name (A-Z)
