It's best not to compare your Sidekicker dashboard with other Sidekicks, as the jobs you see are specifically tailored to your skills, certificates and the subcategories that you're best suited to.

Who determines the categories?

Skills and subcategories were set and approved in your interview with Sidekicker. They're chosen based on your previous experience, what certificates you have, your skills testing and the way you performed in your interview. They're the jobs we believe you'll be most awesome at!

There may occasionally be jobs your friends can see that you can't, and vice versa -- you'll be able to see some awesome jobs that they can't. This generally will only happen for a small amount of jobs and, as everyone on Sidekicker has been selected for many different categories, it's likely you see the same approximate number of jobs as your friends, but just slightly different kinds of shifts available.

It can also vary if you have been selected for a shift that clashes with open set shifts or multi shifts. For set shifts and multi shifts, any potential clashes won't be shown in your 'Open' section (it's a little different for fixed term jobs).

Adding new categories

If for any reason you believe that you should be in a subcategory that you're not currently approved for, we'd love to hear it! Check out our article about how to see more shifts on Sidekicker for instructions on how to add more categories. And, as usual, don't hesitate to reach out to us via the blue Sidekicker chat bubble if you have any questions at all.
