Overview of the withdrawal process

If you are hired on to a Sidekicker shift, it is expected you will be available to work if the business ends up selecting you. However, we understand that occasionally your circumstances could change, meaning you are no longer able to work,

In this case, you will need to withdraw from the job on Sidekicker.

How to withdraw from a shift I am hired onto:

Please withdraw on your Sidekicker app using these easy steps:

  1. Open the Sidekicker app. If you do not have the app on your phone, ensure that you download it from the app store.

  2. Find the job in the 'Active' section of your dashboard

  3. Click on the job you wish to withdraw from

  4. At the bottom of the job, select the "WITHDRAW" button

  5. You will be prompted for a withdrawal reason. Please select the withdrawal reason that best aligns with your situation

  6. Confirm your withdrawal

Our Support team will be instantly notified and you will be removed from the job. We will also inform the business and begin looking for a replacement Sidekick. Be sure to also check how withdrawals can impact your reliability on the platform.

What if I need to speak with someone about my withdrawal?

The quickest and easiest way to withdraw is via the Sidekicker app. However, there are some instances where you might want to speak with our team about a withdrawal. These include:

  • If you are hired on an ongoing job and only need to withdraw from a few shifts (not the entire job)

  • If the business who hired you made changes to the job which do not suit you (e.g. a time change, or change in requirements)

  • If you need to withdraw from a large number of upcoming shifts

Can I contact a business directly to withdraw?

No. Please ensure you only withdraw through Sidekicker! We have a Support team available to help 24/7. By notifying Sidekicker of your withdrawal, we can make sure the correct business contacts are notified and start looking for a replacement Sidekick.

If you contact the business about your withdrawal instead of contacting Sidekicker, we will not be able to provide the business with this level of support which can be really damaging to both their business and ours. You may also be incorrectly marked as 'not attending' which would negatively impact your account.
