Applying for a shift:
When you click 'Apply' for a shift you will be required to write an application statement. This is your first and best chance of standing out from the other applicants!
Summarise why you’d be perfect for this particular shift and highlight your experience and skills in this area. Use references from the job to make it more personal. Keep these on file so you can copy and tailor them for each of category. Have a read here about our tips to improve your application statements here!
How long will my application take to be confirmed?
We hope the client will select shortly, and most jobs are filled within the first hour, but clients do have up to 72 hours, or until the job start time to select their Sidekicks and activate the job. If you can no longer work the shift, we suggest withdrawing your application as soon as possible.
I can't see my applied shift anymore:
This means one of two things:
- That you were successful in your application - congratulations! In this case the job will move to your active section. You will also be notified by a push notification/email.
- That you were unsuccessful - In this case the job will disappear from your applied tab. You should be notified by an email message letting you know this.
I need to withdraw my application:
You can withdraw your application at any point before the shift is activated - you can do this by clicking the 'Withdraw' button on the job page. If you have already been selected and the job has already moved to your 'Active' shifts, you will need to contact our support team to withdraw. You can do this via firstname.lastname@example.org or preferably via phone on 1800 665 035 (AU) or 0800 003 998 (NZ).
