How does Sidekicker's star rating system work?

Information on Sidekicker's star rating system

Updated over a week ago

After every shift a Sidekick works, businesses and Sidekicks have the opportunity to rate their experience out of five stars and leave written feedback about how the job went.

This two-way rating system holds everyone accountable, gives praise to Sidekicks when they do an awesome job, and allows Sidekicker to ensure both Sidekicks and businesses are having a great experience.

What happens when I leave a star rating?

When you review a business they will be able to see the star rating you leave them, but any written feedback included in your review will be hidden. Instead, your feedback is sent to Sidekicker HQ for review - this is so that any negative feedback received can be discussed with the business on your behalf anonymously.

What if I have questions about a negative review I received?

To ensure both businesses and Sidekicks feel comfortable leaving open and honest feedback about their experiences, Sidekicker is unable to disclose any further information about the review a business has left you.

When a business leaves a Sidekick a low star rating, we will always encourage them to share written feedback directly with that Sidekick so that they know what to work on for next time. However, businesses may choose to keep their feedback private or not leave any feedback at all.

If you have received a low star rating or poor feedback from a business and you are unsure why, we recommend reviewing this article for information on the most common reasons why this happens.

โ€‹Can Sidekicker make changes to star ratings or feedback?

In order to promote trust and transparency in our community, Sidekicker is unable to delete or update any star ratings or feedback received by businesses and Sidekicks.

However, we do reserve the right to delete reviews if they;

  • use profanity or vulgar language, or

  • promote illegal or harmful behaviours, or

  • include content that is discriminatory, threatening or obscene.
